Mr. Corneau has practiced bankruptcy and insolvency law since 2002, during which time he has represented debtors, secured creditors, creditors’ committees, post-petition lenders and other parties in interest in all aspects of the Chapter 11 process. He has represented clients in a wide variety of industries, including commercial and residential construction, professional services, real estate ownership and development, and retail.
Mr. Corneau is a 1999 graduate of Boston University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Political Science, and a 2002 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law. At Hofstra, Mr. Corneau was President of the Moot Court Board, and the winner of the 2001 Ruskin Moscou Evans & Faltishek Intra-School Moot Court Competition. Mr. Corneau was a member of the 2001 National Moot Court Competition team, and the 2002 Chief Judge Conrad B. Duberstein Moot Court Competition team.
Mr. Corneau is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Turnaround Management Association.
