Mr. Orr focuses his practice on the areas of business reorganization, distressed asset sale transactions and debtor/creditor rights. In connection with complex chapter 11 bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings, Mr. Orr has counseled clients from a broad range of industries and backgrounds including troubled or insolvent companies, trade creditors, real property owners and lessors, commercial and private lenders, banks, title insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies, lessors of commercial aircraft, jewelry wholesalers and distributors, construction companies and acquirers of business assets.
Mr. Orr also prosecutes and defends complex preference and fraudulent conveyance actions and claims litigation in the state and federal courts of both New York and New Jersey.
On behalf of his corporate clients, Mr. Orr forms corporate entities, negotiates and drafts shareholder and operating agreements, financing and factoring agreements, and license and supply agreements.
Mr. Orr received a bachelor degree in Finance from the University of Scranton in 1997 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2002. He is admitted to the bars of the States of New York and New Jersey as well as the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey. Mr. Orr is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association.
